A Used Copy

Was at a local bookstore today [Bookman's a Tucson land mark] and stumbled across one of our older cds – Monsters. Now from time to time I will see a copy in a funny place. I was skimming through the cds looking for young mc “Cold Stone Rhyming” and I found my little old cd. We have always sold our albums for around ten bucks, so to find a used copy for nine… It felt good. To think that some one thought we had only lost about a dollar on our value over the years. When you’re making an album you never think about just where it’s going to go and who’s hand it might end up in. The internet has changed the way people find your music but I love the idea of someone just stumbling on to your physical album and taking it all in. It reminds me of the way I fell in love with music. As a kid Phen and I would save money to build our cd collection and on the weekend we would hit the Sam Goodie in the mall and get new music. Looking back, that was some of the best parts of my child hood. discovering music for the first time and using it to help me make sense of the world. Seeing my album in the store I cant help but hope some kid picks it up and falls in love with it the way I did. Have a good day and change something kids.
